Dear Green Gables Community,

We are overjoyed to be welcoming you back to the 2022-2023 school year!

I am honored to be joining Green Gables as principal this year. The Green Gables community is near and dear to my heart as I grew up just a few houses away, attended Green Gables as a student, and graduated from Bear Creek High School. As I begin my fifteenth year as an educator and leader in Jeffco, there is no community I would rather serve. The impact of community on my own educational journey is profound and foundational to me as a leader.  I truly look forward to getting to know and partnering with each of you this year.

In addition to being a school leader, two of my most treasured roles are that of wife and mother. My husband Brian, and our three children -  Braden (8.5), Braxton (7) and Ashlyn (2.5), live nearby on Green Mountain and the boys are Jeffco students. We have had a wonderful summer together enjoying lots of pool time, family, and friends.

I vividly remember being twenty-three years old and welcoming my first class of kindergartners. As I looked out at twenty-six kindergartners sitting on the carpet, the true magnitude of my responsibility as an educator sunk in. It was imperative that I ensure every one of those beautiful and unique little humans felt belonging in our classroom. I became keenly aware of how important it was that each student was challenged,  supported, and  grew academically, socially, and emotionally. I sat there, truly humbled, that each student's family had trusted their child to my care each and every day.  It was a profound moment and one that anchors me daily as an educator and leader as you entrust your child(ren) to us.

Here are Green Gables, we are the proud, “Home of the Leprechauns”! and are committed to “leading, learning, and growing… together” and we strive to fulfill this mission each and every day.

At Green Gables:

  • We have an exceptional staff  dedicated to ensuring that each student's unique learning needs are met and students are engaging in high quality, grade level work
  • We focus on the whole child and are committed to the social emotional development of our students alongside academics.
  • We are intentional in building a strong classroom and school community that supports each student in growing and reaching their fullest potential.
  • We are committed to building authentic partnerships with our families and the neighborhood community. Together we offer many opportunities for our students to thrive including after school clubs and National Neighborhood Night (sponsored by our Southern Gables Homeowners) and Family Science Night involving our families.
  • We also have an incredible outdoor learning experience in our community garden. Our garden is a joint project with the Sustainable Southern Green Gables group and Denver Urban Gardens. The garden provides unique real life experiences for our students in every grade level.

As we enter the school year we look forward to partnering with you and your child(ren). Please see below for more important information regarding the start of school. We are here in the main office if you need any support or have additional questions.

I look forward to meeting you all soon!
